One of the things that I tend to fixate on is the shape of my territory.  Anyone else like this?

In GalCiv III: Crusade, I re-wrote how the territory expands.  Crusade comes out this Spring.
What kind of people are you?[[..]]I think the biggest reason the Galactic Civilizations series has been so popular over the years has been because each game is your own epic story. In fact, the biggest request we get is to make the galaxy feel move alive.  With this Spring's mega expansion to Galactic Civilizations III, we hope to do just that. With Galactic Civilizations III: Crusade, we've been able to use the new, 64-bit, multicore game engine to create a much more lively universe ...

The easiest way to get rid of the adds in the W10 Start Menu is with Start10.

But say you haven't gotten Start 10 (not here!), there are other places it will appear: Your desktop and file explorer.

Here's a quicky video tutorial from TechRepublic on how to rid yourself of the nuisances: http://www.techrepublic.com/article/windows-10-gets-even-more-ads-heres-how-to-disable-them-all/?ftag=TRE684d531&bhid=23906934820265111040450294515746

Whenever I try to post something using Firefox I get the above message.

I don't get this with other browsers and, I don't have problems with any other sites - just WC.

More meanderings and a really good find for the photographers among us.

Lightroom (Adobe) is a great piece of software for image improvement.

The article linked gives five alternatives which are free. I'm playing with two of them at the moment, and they are: RawTherapee and LightZone.

You can read about them on their sites. There are screen shots as well as help pages. Steep learning curves, but really good software.

Today is Pi Day, and if we need another reason to eat actual pie well then this is as good as any. To celebrate, we had a “pie-off”.

Congrats to the winners and all the others who got to taste these wonderful creations.

1st: Frozen Key Lime Mousse pie (Kristy)

2nd: Candy-bar (Amy)

3rd: (Not)Beef & broccoli pie (Aaron)

 ## ASHES OF THE SINGULARITY IS EVERYWHERE ##We just came back from the Game Developer's Conference.   It was a great week for the Nitrous engine (the underlying engine used in Ashes of the Singularity).

Big News: AMD is bundling Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation with more and more CPUs  The hardware bundling keeps a steady stream of new players coming into our community.

Moreover, the AMD Ryzen chips, which are 8-cores, really show off the power of the game. As ...

While working on my Steampunk wall I wanted a complete Steampunk theme on my screen. So I downloaded Kitty's icon pack and cursor. I'm running the cursor now but CursorFX will not open when I click on either the shortcut or the exe in the folder. Same thing with IconPackager. With that I clicked on the .ip and nothing happened. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm really growing sick and tired of "reviews" from PC gamer and other rags who give games I really like bogus and totally unfair scores and games that are just total BS, good ones. Case in point, Ghost Recon is one of the most fun new games I've played in a while, yet PC Gamer in all their grandeur gave it a 6.7... In my opinion, that isn't fair. Then the same illustrious PC Gamer gave Resident Evil 7 a 9, and went on to rave like a drunk on a street corner about its greatness and i...

Got me a Lenovo laptop here. Not sure of the model, I know it's an IdeaPad 110, but they have many 110 models. This one has the Intel Core I3 with 6 GB of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB hard drive. Anyhow, I'm running Windows 10 and have it set to turn off the display after 2 minutes and sleep after 5 on both plugged in and battery. Now I don't have any programs stopping it from sleeping that I know of. I created a sleep button for my taskbar that works fine, but I would prefer the machine t...

If Republicans manage to find a way to screw up healthcare they will be damaged for decades to come... although, Democrats are already damaged for decades to come, so that may give may give Republicans wiggle room.
Spying on AliensGalactic Civilizations is a game that asks the question: What happens after we start colonizing other planets? For our purposes, we are going to assume that we will come into contact with alien civilizations.

Alien civilizations will have their own histories, cultures and ideals that we can only fathom.  In Galactic Civilizations III: Crusade, you will be able to train your citizens to learn more about these other civilizations and, if necessary, do very bad things to...

This is humor, as in the morbid variety.

The last line of the linked article is just too much.  And some ejumicayshun was presumably required to be granted the opportunity to write it.

Laugh of the day for me.

Can we have an extension on the day? Hows about a year without a Democrat?
